Heya Guys

First of all a loud and proud Hello @ every1 from the new guy J

As I´m trying to rush towards the Cromwell to offer a fitting tank for T6-Scrims and Strongholds (atm theres just a T-34-85 ready and nearly Top-Geared except the Engine) I´m looking for some advices/experiences according to the Module Setup for the Convenanter/Crusader/Cromwell.

Which Modules do you use for the Covenanter/Crusader/Cromwell?

Maybe some clarification … I prefer to play with Mobility (so my thoughts went towards Vents/Optics/Binos) and keep distance, i.e. diggin in, snipering and rushing in endgame
On the Covenanter, I prefer the Stock-Gun because I don´t like the Bofors because of it´s precision (especially the lousy second shot of the double-shot) and the low range.

According to Crew skills for the Cromwell I though 6th Sense on Commander is pretty standard and Camo for the Crew … or do you have any ideas for the Crew?

Would be awesome to get some advices

Take care

Hello and welcome Heimdal!

Have a look at  Crew skill guides

My setup for cromwell is vents, coated optics and enhanced gun laying drive. If not gun laying drive I probably would pick suspension.
Generally it is my opinion that using both optics and binos is not the best choice for the Cromwell (or any other fast moving tank in that case). Fast tanks rely on their maneuverability and speed and normally aren't stationary like TDs for a long time.

Allready know QB´s guide (watched it as I was downloading WoT^^ .... aaaand choiced wrong *facepalm*)

For me also Binos have a Questionsmark, but atm I can´t pick whats the best (broad variety in guides according to this topic).

But there is more than enough time until I´ll get the Cromwell, so any advices are welcome

In the end it depends much on your playstyle.
Not every setup suits every playstyle though best way is to test  with different setups and play at least 10 games which each to see what gives you more xp and wins.

For medium tanks my setup follows:
Alt A:
  1. Vents (always, a no brainer on every tank if possible imho).
  2. Faster reload or faster aim depending what needs pimping.
  3. Gunlaying drive gives better chance of hitting while on the move.

Alt B:
  1. Vents (always, a no brainer on every tank if possible imho).
  2. Faster reload.
  3. Faster aim.
Alt C:
  1. Vents (always, a no brainer on every tank if possible imho).
  2. Faster reload or faster aim depending what needs pimping.
  3. Coated optics.

Don't have a Cromwell myself (yet), but a couple of friends of mine drive it like Hugin69s setup A:

"Vents (always, a no brainer on every tank if possible imho).
Faster reload or faster aim depending what needs pimping.
Gunlaying drive gives better chance of hitting while on the move."

As it is a tank designed for dealing out whoop-ass, dealing out as many shots on the target while using the speed and manoeuvrability to avoid return fire, seems the way to go.

Off course, the preferences differ from player to player, so do some tests with different setups and see what suits you.

Good luck and see you in the skirmishes!

On the T-34-85 the few good Battles I had were with Vents/Rammer/Optics and same on the T-34, maybe I´m too much TD-sniper-contaminated
Imho Setup A fits generally, beside oersonal preferences, better to the Cromwells 'personality'

Bit OT, but … Do we run the KV-85 in Strongholds?
Asking, because atm, after a long and hard Fail-Series, I´m damn fed of Meds and Scouts, so I thought of taking an Arty-Heavy-Break and push from half-elite KV-1 over KV-1S towards KV-85 (wanna go that line, because I prefer the more mobile russian Heavy-Line)

For sure will meanwhile sacrifice my 34-85 for scrims (next week with TS, promised!)
